Sugar Feather Farm's exclusive non-GMO Mixed Flock Layer is part of our custom feed line, developed with professional poultry nutritional guidance and more than 20 years of hands-on experience raising heritage, rare, and specialty poultry.

Designed for laying fowl 16 weeks of age and older, this complete feed provides balanced protein, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals to support the nutritional needs of productive laying flocks. It's formulated for mixed flocks where multiple poultry species are raised together.

Unlike traditional year-round feeding approaches, Sugar Feather Farm has developed specialized seasonal layer formulations for summer, winter, and year-round feeding. This feed is available through our monthly preorder program and is not in stock for immediate shipment or pickup.

Orders must be paid in advance. After the monthly cutoff on the 15th, we submit orders for manufacturing. Shipping and farm pickup are scheduled once production is complete.

FREE standard ground shipping is included on eligible 5-lb, 20-lb, and 40-lb bagged feed orders within the contiguous United States.

To address this, we set out on a mission to discover the ideal feed that could cater to their specific requirements. The outcome? Our Multi Flock Feed Blend Non-GMO—a comprehensive solution designed to meet all the nutritional needs of your feathered friends. This carefully formulated blend is crafted to optimize performance, enhancing factors such as egg quality, hatchability, and plumage condition.

We prioritize freshness in our feed, as it directly impacts its nutritional value. Our feed is made without preservatives and batched to ensure maximum freshness. While best results are achieved when used within 2 weeks of manufacturing, we recommend feeding within 30 days to maintain freshness and high vitamin levels. Store in tightly sealed containers to preserve freshness.

    • Provide fresh clean water at all times
    • Offer free-choice oyster shell or calcium supplement for laying hens
    • Provide grit for birds that consume whole grains or forage

    Birds typically begin layer feed around 16–20 weeks of age once egg production begins.

It boosts the fowl’s immunity so it can fight common diseases, issues, and weather changes. Case studies show the data and have helped with Salmonella, E-Coli, and Coccidiosis in a safe and natural way.

    We strongly believe in using Oregano Oil in both feed and in the water for optimum results.
