Peter Brown ~ The Chicken Doctor
Peter Brown, often known as The Chicken Doctor, has dedicated over 58 years to poultry health and is a leading expert in backyard poultry and small flock care. He holds an A.A.S. degree in Poultry Science and specializes in poultry disease management, avian embryo development, and incubation. He is also well known for his practical approach to natural and homeopathic support for poultry
Peter was a regular speaker on the Chicken Whisperer Radio Show, sharing his profound knowledge with listeners. He founded First State Veterinary Supply where you can get all your fowl medical supplies.
Additionally, Peter has contributed to poultry health sections in Fancy Fowl USA, Practical Poultry, and The Chicken Whisperer Magazine.
Nicolle Ferrier ~ The Fowl Guru
Nicolle Ferrier, known as The Fowl Guru, is a poultry educator, breeder, and co-founder of Sugar Feather Farm LLC in Vermont. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience raising animals and fowl, she specializes in practical flock management, breeding, incubation, nutrition, and troubleshooting for poultry keepers at many levels.
Nicolle regularly contributes to webinars, articles, and university studies, and has worked alongside poultry scientists and fowl nutritionists to deepen her knowledge and bring practical, real-world education back to the farm community. She also mentors other farms, supports conservation-minded poultry efforts, and serves as District Director for the Ayam Cemani Breeders Association.
Through Sugar Feather Farm, Nicolle is committed to humane stewardship, education, and preserving rare, heritage, and unique breeds for future generations.
