Guinea Fowl Hatching Eggs

from $8.25

Hatch your own lively, watchful and endlessly entertaining guinea flock! Our fertile hatching eggs come from guinea fowl raised on our Vermont farm with daily hands-on care, Non-GMO feed and room to express their natural behaviors.

Guinea fowl are exceptional foragers known for helping control ticks and other insects. Their strong flock instincts and unmistakable alarm calls also make them useful farmyard sentries. They are hardy, active and independent birds best suited to homes where they can be raised in groups and eventually given plenty of room to explore.

If you’ve visited Sugar Feather Farm for a pickup, you may have already seen—or certainly heard—our guinea flock roaming the farm, investigating everything and enthusiastically announcing each new arrival.

Possible Color Varieties

Depending on the breeding group and seasonal production, keets may hatch in colors and patterns including Pearl, Royal Purple, Coral Blue, Lavender, White, Chocolate, Pied and other seasonal variations.

e will not be able to accomodate a specific variety when ordering, eggs will be chosen according to current availability. Particular colors and hatch ratios cannot be guaranteed.

Seasonal Availability

Guinea fowl are seasonal layers, generally producing from late spring through summer and early fall. Orders are filled in the order received as egg production allows. Timing is approximate and may be affected by weather, laying patterns and seasonal availability.

Hatching Egg Information

• Eggs are collected from our active breeding groups.

• Each egg is inspected and carefully packed for shipping or farm pickup.

• Shipped eggs should be allowed to rest with the pointed end down before incubation.

• Hatching eggs are living, naturally variable products. Fertility and hatch results cannot be guaranteed because shipping conditions, incubator accuracy and incubation practices are outside our control.

Please have your incubator tested, stabilized and ready before your eggs arrive. Guinea keets are social birds, so we recommend hatching and raising more than one whenever possible.
